Black Girls Have Always Been Magic is a faith-rooted space created for grown Black women who are ready to remember who they are, renew their minds, and move through life with greater truth, clarity, joy, and intention.
We believe inspiration should do more than sound good for a moment. It should help you tell yourself the truth, make a decision, take a step, and live differently. That is why everything we create brings together God-anchored truth and practical action.
Our declarations give language to what we are learning to believe. Our workbooks help us put that truth into practice. The Truth Bank™ is being created to establish a daily rhythm of speaking, renewing, and anchoring ourselves in God’s Word.
This is not about pretending that life is perfect. It is about refusing to let fear, old patterns, disappointment, or other people’s expectations have the final word.
Black women have always carried brilliance, creativity, wisdom, faith, resilience, and vision. We are not becoming magic because the world finally notices us.
We have always been magic.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Black Girls Have Always Been Magic was founded by Martha Faye Ikner, a wife, mother, faith leader, educator, and grown woman still becoming.
Martha created BGHABM from a deeply personal conviction: women deserve more than temporary encouragement. They deserve honest words that meet them where they are, reconnect them with what God says, and help them take meaningful action in their real lives.
Through truth-centered content, guided resources, and practical tools, BGHABM exists to help women move from simply recognizing the truth to actually living it.
OUR PROMISE
We will create with honesty, intention, excellence, and respect for the women we serve.
We will not offer empty declarations disconnected from action. We will create tools that help women think, speak, decide, and move with purpose.
Truth for who you are. Structure for what you’re ready to change.
